Single Family House Riederau

Heidelberger Beton GmbH, Munich, delivered Light Weight Concrete for a single family house in Riederau, on the shores of the Lake Ammer, Germany.

The Light Weight Concrete gave the construction its wanted robustness, as well as the needed insulation and energy efficiency. At the same time, the aesthetic nature of the product fits perfectly for residential construction, making it almost effortless for the architect to map and design the interior ‑ the exposed Light Weight Concrete was integrated as naturally into the plan.

During the entire process, the customer received support from HeidelbergCement and its professional consultants. Heidelberger Beton GmbH created the exact substance and chemical composition of the material, organised the logistical chain and delivered the material to the building site. Betotech Baustofflabor GmbH (part of HeidelbergCement) ensured continuous quality control with its mobile laboratory.

Light Weight Concrete is one of the oldest construction materials, seen throughout human history. Yet, today it is considered an unusual and exotic building material. Thanks to technological advancements, Heidelberger Beton makes it possible to minimise the weight of modern concrete without any significant loss of strength compared to standard concrete. This fact makes the Light Weight Concrete ideal for the building of residential structures.
