Etele Pláza

The construction of Etele Plaza in Újbuda lasted between 2018 and 2021. It became one of the largest shopping malls and entertainment centers in Budapest.

Due to its favourable hub location, about 40,000 shoppers are expected to visit the mall every day, which accommodates 180 stores. The building with a 22,000 m² floor area and a gross total area of 137,000 m² contains P2 and P1 underground garage levels with 1300 parking spaces, one ground floor, one mezzanine level and five further floors.

The designers added “smart” features to the complex, such as a LED wall inside the building that provides continuous information to customers, or an advanced navigation and positioning system that helps them in parking by highlighting empty spaces. In addition, the designers also took into consideration environmentally conscious solutions, such as heat pump air treatment technology, the possibility of natural ventilation of the building or a glass roof with a shading system.

One of the suppliers of the project is a partner of Duna-Dráva Cement Kft., Molnárbeton Kft., which provided 40,000 m³ of concrete for the works, using about 20,000 tons of concrete made of CEM II/B-S 42,5 N type DDC cement.
