Greece is part of the Group since the second half of 2016, when it purchased the Italcementi Group. In Greece, we operate in the cement, concrete, and aggregates sectors through Heidelberg Materials Hellas S.A., formerly known as Halyps Cement, a company that was set up in Aspropyrgos (Attica) in 1934.
The plants are supported on an ongoing basis by investments aimed at increasing capacity and efficiency, improving product quality, and enhancing environmental performance. In 2013, five new silos for raw materials and fuels were commissioned. The main objectives of this isolated storage area are better production management and – among other things – reduced emissions and dust.
