Cairo Metro Line 4 – connecting Greater Cairo

Cairo is making a decisive move toward modern, sustainable urban mobility with the construction of Metro Line 4. Developed by the National Authority for Tunnels (NAT), the line will form a vital east–west corridor across Greater Cairo, easing congestion and offering millions of people faster and more reliable transport. The first phase extends over 19 kilometres from Hadaek El-Ahram in 6th of October City to Fustat Station in Misr El-Kadima. With 17 stations, it connects major destinations including the Grand Egyptian Museum, Giza, and El-Malek El-Saleh. Heidelberg Materials Egypt supports this national project with 30,000 tons of cement for tunnels, stations, and key structural elements. Our materials and expertise help ensure the durability and safety of one of Egypt’s most important transport projects.
