Release Manager (f/m/d)

As a Release Manager you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning and delivery of major and minor releases for the core IT systems and applications. You will also be responsible to own and drive continuous improvement and optimization of the processes that ensure smooth change management and deployment of IT services that are delivered to 60,000+ employees across 5 continents. Your next challenge

  • End-to-end planning and delivery of major and minor releases for the core IT systems with SAP as leading environment
  • Serve as an escalation point & owner for issues with release planning, delivery, testing and deployment
  • Own and manage the global Enterprise Release Management framework and the Release Management process for the IT organization
  • Be responsible for planning and managing the overall yearly Release plan for the core productive applications with SAP as leading system
  • Oversee and coordinate individual release planning and execution per RM relevant applications
  • Drive continuous improvements of the ERM/RM approach and process in alignment with other teams and processes in the organization
  • Consult and support other teams about Release Management handling 

Your profile

  • Preferably bachelor/master degree or any relevant professional background
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in release management and/or project management
  • Understanding of ITIL methodology and effective operations and delivery governance methods
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile delivery methods like SCRUM/Kanban would be considered and advantage
  • Knowledge of SAP Transportation management, Rev-Trac, HPQC (ALM) and Jira/Confluence would be a plus
  • Experience in large enterprise level environments and matrix organizations
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a high level of solution orientation and a risk-averse mind-set
  • Very good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to think beyond organizational boundaries and take responsibility even in areas outside of own responsibility
  • Very good English language skills
  • Willingness to travel worldwide
